Overview

MQI Degree college commenced the BCom program in 2007. BCom is a three-year undergraduate degree programme spread over six semesters. The program caters to aspirants who desire to build their professional competence with specialized knowledge in the subjects like Accounting, Finance, costing, taxation, Insurance, etc. ranging from fundamentals to advanced concepts in the subjects offered in the program.

Along with commerce subjects, students are exposed to EVS, Indian Constitution and Computer Applications. It also includes skill development exercise in each subject and enhances the practical knowledge of the student. The department uses a variety of teaching tools to interact with students, ensuring efficient knowledge delivery. Our faculty members constantly adapt to and accept new techniques and methodologies in teaching like Power point presentation and smart classes wherever necessary.

The Value-Added courses is an activity beyond the university curriculum is an additional input imparted to the students, which enable them to carve a niche in the corporate world.

Objectives:

 To prepare students for future readiness through quality education inculcating values.
 To prepare students for higher education that help them to become managers with core competencies.
 To cater to the manpower requirements of corporate world in the field of accounting, taxation, auditing, finance, marketing, HR and banking through soft skills and job skill training.
 To prepare students to pursue higher education that will propel them to become business entrepreneurs, researchers, consultants, executives with core competencies.
 To develop entrepreneurship and managerial skills, in students to enable them manage business effectively.
 To develop ethical leaders and managers for solving real life business problems to face competition holistic approach.
 To provide a strong foundation, to students, for professions in various fields by helping them clear competitive examinations.

Pass in 10+2 PUC / ISCE / CBSE or any discipline or Equivalent.
Scholarship facility to students above 85% marks

Attendance

A student should have 75 percentage of attendance in each course. Any student who is not complying with this requirement will not be allowed to appear for Semester End Examination.

BCom - program outcomes (POs)
The program objectives of BCom are as follows:

The students will:
 Be able to pursue a bright career in commerce.

 Be able to develop skills required for a financial analysis of various organisations become proficient at interpreting statistical and numerical methods.
 Acquire adequate knowledge on direct and indirect taxes and related laws.

BCom - Finance Specialisation

Students will be able to:
 Develop adequate knowledge of finance subjects.
 Describe the financial contracts and their applications to business.
 Manage financial issues of business in a global environment.
 Identify strategies to achieve specific investment goals.
 Apply financial practices to different types of organisations.
 Understand and analyse risks associated with investments.
 Construct their own portfolio for investment.
